Frequently Asked Questions
The $250 security deposit is required for our Free Membership because members have access to expensive equipment. It is there to help cover the cost of damage if a machine is intentionally damaged or misused.
If you don't use the Makerspace or its equipment, you won't have any charges taken from your deposit. In normal circumstances, we do not touch these funds.
If you believe your security deposit was charged by mistake, please contact
refund@bluehelmstudios.com. We will investigate the situation, review our security records, and keep you updated throughout the process. If we determine the charge was made in error, you will receive a full refund, along with $100 in Makerspace credit as an apology.
Yes! Anyone can use the Makerspace by creating a Blue Helm account and signing up for either a free or paid membership. Before using the Makerspace, you'll need to complete the registration process, agree to our Makerspace rules and safety guidelines, and pay the refundable security deposit.
Once your registration has been approved, you'll be able to access the equipment and facilities included with your membership. Some specialised or premium machines may require a higher membership tier or additional training before they can be used.
Yes! The gym is available to all Blue Helm Members at no additional cost. Simply create a Blue Helm account, complete your membership registration, and pay the refundable security deposit.
The security deposit helps protect our equipment and facilities. As long as the gym is used responsibly and no damage occurs, your deposit will remain untouched. If you believe your deposit was charged incorrectly, you can contact our support team for an investigation.

You also can keepp your membership card as a suvenir if you wish or give it back. Once its cancled it will no longer become useable until you want to go back and refund it.
