Work Safety & Compliance Program — Official guidelines for workplace safety, health, regulatory compliance, and risk management at Blue Helm Studios.
1. Program Overview

The Work Safety & Compliance Program (wsacp) establishes the standards and procedures to maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment for all employees at Blue Helm Studios.

This program prioritizes employee well-being, prevents workplace incidents, and ensures full adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.

2. Core Objectives

The wsacp aims to:

  • Provide a hazard-free workplace and minimize occupational risks
  • Promote a strong culture of safety awareness and personal responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, provincial, and federal safety laws
  • Reduce workplace injuries and illnesses through proactive measures
  • Foster open communication regarding safety concerns
3. Key Safety Policies

The program includes the following core safety policies:

  • Incident reporting and investigation procedures
  • Emergency response and evacuation protocols
  • Ergonomics and workstation safety guidelines
  • Hazard identification and risk assessment processes
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements where applicable
  • Remote and hybrid work safety standards
4. Training and Education

All employees receive mandatory safety training upon onboarding and annually thereafter. Additional training is provided for specific roles involving higher risk.

Training topics include general workplace safety, emergency procedures, mental health awareness, and compliance with health and safety legislation.

5. Reporting and Compliance

Employees are encouraged to report any safety hazards, near-misses, or incidents immediately through the internal reporting system or to their manager.

All reports are investigated promptly and confidentially. The company maintains full compliance with Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) and occupational health regulations in Alberta and Canada.

6. Safety Committee and Audits

A joint Health and Safety Committee meets regularly to review incidents, recommend improvements, and monitor program effectiveness.

Regular workplace audits and inspections are conducted to identify and address potential risks before they become issues.

7. Program Administration

The Work Safety & Compliance Program is overseen by the Human Resources department in collaboration with department leads and the Health and Safety Committee.

For safety concerns, training requests, or to report an incident, please contact hr@bluehelmstudios.com or use the internal wsacp reporting portal.
