RAFPP | Retirement & Financial Planning Program

Official framework for retirement savings, financial wellness, and long-term planning support at Blue Helm Studios.
1. Program Overview

The Retirement & Financial Planning Program helps employees build long-term financial security through competitive retirement savings options, financial education, and wellness resources.

This program is designed to support employees at every stage of their career — from early saving habits to preparing for a comfortable retirement.

2. Retirement Savings Plans

Blue Helm Studios offers the following retirement savings vehicles:

  • 401(k) Plan – with generous company matching contributions
  • Roth 401(k) Option – for after-tax contributions and tax-free withdrawals
  • Automatic enrollment for new employees with opt-out flexibility
  • Annual contribution limit increases in accordance with IRS guidelines
3. Company Matching Contributions

Blue Helm Studios provides a competitive matching contribution on employee 401(k) deferrals. The current match is:

100% match on the first 3% of eligible compensation + 50% match on the next 2% (up to a maximum of 4% company contribution).

Vesting of company contributions occurs on a graded schedule over four years.

4. Financial Education & Wellness

The program includes access to:

  • Complimentary financial planning webinars and workshops
  • One-on-one financial counseling sessions with certified planners
  • Retirement readiness assessments and planning tools
  • Educational resources on budgeting, debt management, and investing
  • Access to third-party financial wellness platforms
5. Additional Retirement Benefits

Employees also receive:

  • Life insurance and disability coverage as part of the benefits package
  • Access to Health Savings Account (HSA) options where eligible
  • Guidance on Social Security optimization and pension alternatives
6. Enrollment and Participation

New employees are automatically enrolled in the 401(k) plan after 30 days of employment. Employees may adjust their contribution percentage or investment allocations at any time through the plan portal.

Annual open enrollment and financial check-up sessions are offered to all staff.

7. Program Administration

The Retirement & Financial Planning Program is administered by the Human Resources department in partnership with our retirement plan provider. All participant data is kept confidential and secure.
