Today, Blue Helm Studios is officially announcing our next project: Investigator.
It's a game we've been quietly building toward for a while now, and we're excited to finally pull back the curtain — even just a little.
What is Investigator? A detective experience on Roblox where you work for the Robloxia Bureau of Investigation (RBI), solving the city's most dangerous cases — murders, heists, political conspiracies, and more. Every case is different. Your reputation is everything.
You play as a detective in the Robloxia Bureau of Investigation — an elite division of the Robloxian Government. Cases range from cold-blooded murders to elaborate heists and political conspiracies. No two rounds are the same.
Your job is to gather evidence, interrogate suspects, analyze clues, and build a case before time runs out. Close the case correctly and you earn your promotion. Make the wrong call and a criminal walks free.
Your reputation is built one case at a time.
We wanted to build something that rewards thinking. Most round-based Roblox games are about reflexes or randomness — Investigator is about deduction. We want players to feel the pressure of a real investigation: piecing together clues under a ticking clock, deciding who to trust, and committing to a verdict.
There's very little in the Roblox space that genuinely challenges players to think critically. We think that's a gap worth filling.
Core design goal: Every round should feel like a short story. Players should walk away remembering the case — not just the outcome.
We're still deep in development, so we're keeping most details close to the chest for now. What we can confirm:
Round-based gameplay — each session drops you into a fresh case with a new set of suspects, clues, and variables. No pay-to-win — your rank reflects your detective work, not your spending. Any Robux items will be cosmetic only. The game is intended for players 13 and older given the mature themes involved.
A Roblox game page isn't live yet — that comes closer to launch. When it's up, we'll announce it across all our channels.
We've put together a dedicated game page right here on the Blue Helm Studios site with everything we can share at this stage — including a full Q&A covering release plans, monetization, age ratings, and platform details.
View the Investigator Game Page →Development is ongoing. As we hit milestones — early playtests, a game page going live, trailers, or a release window — we'll post updates here on the blog first.
If you want to follow along, keep an eye on this blog and our community channels. We're building something we're genuinely proud of, and we can't wait to put it in your hands.
The city needs its best detectives. Are you ready?
