Role Overview
As a 3D Modeler at Company, you'll build detailed, optimized 3D assets for real-time applications, product renders, AR/VR prototypes, marketing visuals, and more. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, product managers, and animators to deliver polished work that ships to users.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-fidelity 3D models, hard-surface and organic, from concept to final asset
- Optimize models for performance (real-time rendering, mobile, web, game engines)
- UV unwrap, texture baking, and material setup (PBR workflows)
- Collaborate on look-dev and style guides with Art Director & Lead Designer
- Participate in asset review sessions and iterate based on feedback
- Help maintain asset library and naming/pipeline conventions
Must-Have Skills & Tools
- Strong portfolio showing clean topology, realistic & stylized work
- Expert in Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max (Maya/Blender preferred)
- Proficient in Substance Painter / Designer for texturing
- Experience with PBR workflows and real-time engines (Unity / Unreal / Three.js)
- Understanding of polycount budgets, LODs, and performance optimization
- Strong eye for detail, form, proportion, and silhouette
Nice-to-Have / Bonus Points
- ZBrush for high-detail sculpting & detailing
- Experience with rigging, skinning, or basic animation
- Knowledge of Houdini (procedural modeling / scattering)
- AR/VR content creation (Quest, Vision Pro, mobile AR)
- Photogrammetry / reality capture pipelines
- Scripting (Python / MEL) for pipeline tools
- You will get access to 3D modelling paid software and tools
- Previous work in product viz, architectural viz, games, film/VFX, or industrial design
- Experience delivering assets for web-based 3D experiences
- Familiarity with version control (Perforce, Git, Plastic SCM)
- Understanding of physically based rendering & lighting principles
