A Place Built Around Showing Your Work

ShowWork is a new kind of social app, made for one simple purpose: sharing what you've made with people who actually want to see it. No matter what you create — art, code, music, writing, woodworking, cooking, fashion, photography, engineering projects, or anything in between — ShowWork gives it a home and an audience that cares.

Most social platforms today have drifted away from the people who make things and toward whatever keeps a feed scrolling the longest. ShowWork is a deliberate step back from that. It's built for creators first, and everything about the app — the features, the feed, the moderation — is designed around that single idea.

"Not another feed fighting for your attention. A place to put your work in front of people who want to see it."

No AI. Anywhere. On Purpose.

This is the part we want to be completely upfront about: ShowWork does not use AI, and it never will. That's not a temporary decision — it's the whole point of the app.

What "No AI" actually means: no AI-generated content allowed on the platform, no AI recommendation engine deciding what you see, no AI writing your captions or bios, and no AI systems making moderation calls behind the scenes.

No AI-generated posts. Every project, photo, sketch, track, or paragraph shared on ShowWork has to be made by the person posting it. This keeps the platform a record of real human effort, not a flood of generated content pretending to be someone's work.

No AI feed. Your home feed isn't shaped by an opaque recommendation system trying to guess what will keep you scrolling. Instead, you follow people whose work you like, browse by category or tag, and see things in a straightforward, chronological order. What you see is what people actually chose to share, not what an algorithm decided would keep you engaged.

No AI writing tools baked into the app. Captions, comments, and descriptions are yours. We think part of what makes a platform like this valuable is that the words attached to a project are as real as the project itself.

Moderation That's Actually Human

Good moderation is one of the hardest problems in social media, and a lot of platforms have quietly handed that job over to automated systems. ShowWork takes the opposite approach: every report, every appeal, and every judgment call is handled by real people.

This means moderation might occasionally be a little slower than an instant automated system. We think that trade-off is worth it. A human reviewer can tell the difference between a joke and a threat, between critique and harassment, between a mistake and a pattern — the kind of judgment automated moderation still struggles with.

What You Can Actually Do on ShowWork

At its core, ShowWork is a place to post your projects and follow the process behind other people's. Here's what that looks like in practice.

Built for Every Kind of Maker

ShowWork isn't built for one type of creator — it's built for all of them. Whether you're a hobbyist just starting out or someone who's been doing this professionally for years, the app adapts to where you are.

Beginners can post their first attempts without fear of being buried under an algorithm that only pushes already-popular accounts. Experienced creators get a space to build a real, lasting portfolio instead of a feed that buries older work within days. Everyone gets the same thing: an audience that sees their work because they chose to look, not because a system decided to show it to them.

Why We're Building It This Way

We think a lot of what feels broken about social media today comes down to the same two things: content nobody can be sure is real, and moderation nobody can reason with. ShowWork is our answer to both. Real work, made by real people, judged by real moderators — with a feed that just shows you what the people you follow actually posted.

It's a simpler idea than most social apps chase these days. We think that's exactly why it'll work.
